IconoKitschoclasts

IconoKitschoclast – Someone whose body of work has left an indelible mark on Pop and Kitsch Culture. In some cases, this mantle is bestowed upon a person who has created only a single item but one which has shown such brilliance as to have also have left a lasting and deep effect on Kitsch culture.

The definition of an iconoclast is "one who attacks and seeks to overthrow traditional or popular ideas or institutions," i.e. anyone having enough balls to pursue their own vision without pandering to the safe and oftentimes mediocre demands of a system or institution that has a pitbull grip on culture via mass distribution. So it follows that a iconoKitschoclast is a person who has dedicated their lives and careers to the art form known as Kitsch and, by their very involvement or invention, shoved it up a notch in Pop culture overall.
