This week was particularly exciting as I got a last minute tip that the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile (called “RELSHME”) was in Alameda! I grabbed my camera, my vintage Wienermobile piggy bank, picked up my daughter and headed for Alameda South Shore Center where it was parked.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Through the Years…

Wienermobile Schwag!

Truly exciting to get to see it in person as I have been wanting to see it for *years*. It is a thing of beauty!
Happy 75th Wienermobile!

Wow! You and Traci are so lucky and those photos are so great. I’ve only had the pleasure of seeing the Wienermobile on the freeway a few times but have never actually seen it parked in a spot where I could run up and take photos next to its gorgeous body.

I didn’t even know that it actually made appearances like this. So it just goes to different spots and parks for a day? I wonder if there’s a wiener mobile schedule?

Here’s the thing…there are SEVERAL Wienermobiles traveling all over the USA right now. They have different versions.

There is a map there but it’s not always updated. RELSHME is still in the Bay Area through the weekend.

    How cool is that??

I saw thw Wienermobile when I was a kid in the 70’s. They had a chef mascot named Little Oscar & apparently he rode around in the Weinermobile making appearances. Even though I was a little girl, I was about the same size as this man…and 40 years later my mom still loves to tell that story.
