this is from the 50’s I guess — the cups fit on top of one of the thermoses, and then the red tops (on top of set in pic) go one over the cups & corks. I don’t know if there was anything under the other screw-on top — I bought it at the Rose Bowl flea market in the mid-80’s and never even looked under the tops — just displayed it in my kitchen. It’s in great shape. I’ve seen the red plaid ones selling for $75 (with a thermos missing) and $80 (with both thermoses and no mention of hidden cups). I don’t know if the teal plain will sell as well — red plaid is SO “the thing”!

Absolutely stone cold 50s. Really a gorgeous gorgeous piece. I don’t see where there would be any room in this for one more thermos so that extra top is pretty curious.
Are the 2 red ones in the middle also thermoses?
Is the name Car-Snac or Can-Snac? Not that both aren’t brilliant.
Those wire handles sticking up are pretty great. I guess they fit over the top of the car door when the window is down.
Where’s the compartment for sandwiches?
