You may think that the Roy Rogers guitar is the hot thing in this photo, and it is in fact pretty hot. But the real killer here is the box in back of it that says Auto-Sonic. That’s actually an all chrome 45 player that snaps under the dash on my 1955 Desoto and plays records upside down. It was an add on and I’ve only seen one other one all these years. If I ever get the Desoto running again this thing will be popped right in.

I was going to ask about that record player as it caught my eye first. Thanks for the explanation on that. It plays the records upside down? that’s wild. That Roy Rogers guitar looks to be in pretty good condition even though it’s missing the G string, who borrowed that?….I do share a birthday with Roy so he’s always been a hero of mine.

The record player was my first question too….holy cow, I can’t evens stand it…you’re desoto is in storage, huh?

the little guitar is cool too….i’m also a fan of roy and dale (she after all wrote happy trails among others)…they took a lot of kids who needed homes which is always a-ok in my book and they were famous for being good and kind to their animals…trigger was never overworked, drugged or abused :)

Yes, the DeSoto has been on blocks since 1990 or so, waiting for mommy to earn enough scheckles to fix her up.

Wind-Up, you have no idea. I literally break out into nervous sweat when I go to the storage unit. Allee should give tours of it. I can’t even begin to describe the things in there, kitsch fills every corner and every bit of floor space.

Some of my favorite things are the vintage coin operated rides. TO DIE FOR!
