Dutch Boy Planter

This little Dutch boy planter was made in Japan (probably in the 1960’s). He stands about four and a half inches high and he’s carrying two water buckets. I especially like the little tulips growing around the tree stump next to him. As you can see, I use this planter to store a scrub sponge as this little guy normally sits next to my kitchen sink. He’s been with me for a long, long time and has watched me wash many, many dishes!

So cute. I love when tiny things like this actually find a purpose. He makes a perfect scrubby holder. And red is definitely his color.

    Is he wearing lipstick?
