The paint was hard to use because the paint brushes supplied were really cheap.. next time I’m bringing my own.

Very nice handicrafting! Is it a Color Me Mine? That place and others of that ilk always have very cheap brushes so, yes, always bring your own.
I like the speckled effect on the blue. Did you apply that differently than your other colors?
