Down Boy…
The Chalkware Deco Lady, and her little dog, reminded me of the great old Pin-Up Calendar Art. You can tell from the look on her face, she knows she’s in trouble.. She is 6″ tall and they have wire hooks on the back to hang.
I bought her years ago at the FABULOUS Mid-Century Modern Show in Cincinnati.

She is totally fantastic!The expression on her face is perfect. Her little lips and eyelashes kill me. The dog pulling her dress so it’s slipped down just so is only exceeded by the fact that her dress is made out of fabric. Or is that an aillusion? It sure looks like fabric in the photos.
Is the little hat hollowed out so you can stick something in it?
This is really an absolutely perfect piece. And thanks for including the link to the show in Cincinnati. Thank God I won’t be anywhere near there. These shows always have great pieces but I’m strictly a thrift shop/flea market price kind of gal. Though I may have fallen for this piece of yours had I seen it.

Thank you, no space in her little basket, and her dress is a sheer cotton fabric.
Hoping we can go to the show, but it’s southern Ohio in February, and sometimes you need a Zamboni to get down there…smile
