“Happy Moments-Happy Memories-Because of You!” declares the fortune cookie-ish message on this Boa-clad rubber thingy from the 1970’s. It keeps the “Strung Out Fast Food Chihuahua” company as it stands sentinel in a remote rural location in the midwest.

Wow! The kitchen sink approach of the puffy blue collar, the ratty gold feather, the gold plastic blobby body of the snake and then the fortune cookie sticking out of it’s mouth – what do snakes have to do with fortune cookies?! – make this one ugly and confusing piece of ‘art’. But the lack of clear direction drives it right up the kitsch scale to excellence!

Are those toes on the featherless side?

Also excellent is the message on the fortune. What do happy moments or happy memories have to do with this clunk of a snake? I can’t imagine what someone did to be acknowledged with “Because Of You!” and have it result in something that looks like this.

I’d kill to see what else the creator of this made.

Yes, toes are those. I’ll see if there’s any manufacturer or company name on this the next time I’m there.
