This is Blondie’s Parallel Lines record album from 1978. The disc is clear see-thru vinyl, almost like glass, and I always thought that was cool because the album contains the hit song “Heart of Glass.” :)
The photo is one of my own from when I saw Blondie perform at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA. back in 1977. This was early in their career and the audience consisted of no more than 100 or so people.

Were all the “Heart of Glass” LPs see-through or was this a special edition?
I love Debbie Harry though wasn’t into Blondie this early as I was such a staunch pop R&B fan and busy writing my first hits. I did work with her later in the 80s when I art directed her ” French Kissing in the USA‚Äù video (https://www.alleewillis.com/art/sets-props/index.htm and click on Debbie Harry) and then in the 90’s when we wrote a song together, Stabilty, on her Debravation solo LP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU5O3yMk0oM.

No, this clear see-thru record is very rare. In fact, I’ve never see it come up on ebay. Most are the traditional black vinyl.
How cool that you worked with Debbie! My gosh, you are so blessed to have met and worked with so many wonderful performers….and they are blessed to have met and worked with you!

Wow, that clear vinyl is beautiful! I’ve never seen one before.
