My name is Michael Albert Stratton, and this smiley is the graphic depiction of my internet alter ego.
I am a mentally ill graphic designer with a career in information technology.
Mike Stratton is Proud to Be Severely Mentally Ill.
This smiley is also my company logo. For years I hid from perspective clients that I was mentally ill in fear of there reaction to my disability. Finally one day I “came out of the closet in my head”, and will continue to use my dimented way of being as a great marketing tool.

Graphic designer, especially on the web, is an excellent occupation for brains that may be different from the norm. Oftentimes people that are “all there” are TOO there and never know how to escape everyday life and flee into their imagination, the eternal playground if you figure out how to use the swing set that’s in your particular yard.
