What really freaks me out about thrift shopping at holidays are the insane and utterly confusing holiday displays! There is no shortage of kitsch here. I see envelope holders, paper weights, vases, trinket boxes, plates, candles. I especially love the toothbrush holder that reads “I Love You This Much”, who on earth would you give that too?

You know these are among my favorite kinds of posts. I love things like store windows or shelves in stores as the potential for Kitsch madness is high.

I always love going into secondhand stores on holidays because of groupings like this on shelves. Although I don’t see anything that I would buy I love that some industrious and most likely volunteer worker grabbed anything red or with a heart and proudly displayed it in the special Valentine’s Day section of the store.

This certainly puts me in the holiday mood.

Where is the toothbrush holder? And what is that silver statue thing with the heart on top on the top shelf in the second photo?

It’s a white heart that says “I Love You This Much”. Didn’t quite look like vase holes and when I was rearranging this display (yes, Andrea was embarrassed), Andrea said “look at that ugly toothbrush holder”. So it is with that said, that we both agreed ,it is indeed a toothbrush holder and therefore qualified to be in this kitsch display of red madness! The silver thing was a paper weight with a heart design.
