Sealtest was the brand of choice in the Willis household in Detroit when I was growing up. I remember hacking into large chunks of vanilla ice milk when those Sealtest diet bricks first hit the Kroger’s shelves in the mid 60’s. I still have a fondness for this brand (though not so much for clowns). I do love these roly-poly clowns though, bloated and drunk from too much ice cream and big choc-o chunks.

Our house always had Sealtest Ice Cream, although the style clown on these boxes reminds me of a distant relative from Memphis.

hmmmm yeah, i’m pretty sure my eyes have looked like that after too much ice cream….lol! i love the graphics on the boxes, but yeah, clowns selling anything is a turn-off…remember “Scoopy the Clown” the ice cream cone clown? terrifying. the name “scoopy” is pretty genius though…..

I never heard of SCOOPY! Does anyone remember the clown cereal called KABOOM? I think that was the name……

Yes, made by General Mills. Born in 1969 and still on the market! Fruity little clown shaped corn bits and marshmallow elephants, stars, line in and bears.
