Here I have an authentic Tiki God barstool from an old Polynesian Tiki themed bar at a Trade Winds Motor Hotel in Tulsa, OK. It had been around since 1960 and this was one of the few things saved before it was torn down in the 1980’s. Not everything made it, they were more interested in demolition than preservation unfortunately. Tulsa lost a lot of art deco that way.
It metal and weighs about 30 pounds and takes a 4′ long screw to mount the 4 pieces to the floor. I’ve never touched the paint obviously but it’s been through silver, red and gold at least. I’ve never seen another one like it, not sure where the others went or how many made it out of the bar. Kitschy enough for me to drag it from home to home all of these years! I’ve been meaning to share this here forever, finally took some good pics. Enjoy!

Nice! and it looks like you have your own Tiki bar going on at the house too or at least a really cool backdrop.

Hey thanks. Not a bar but a Tiki “corner” but it didn’t photograph well with all the clutter so I threw the cheetah sheet down to help! No rhyme or reason to the rest of the house, as expected. Hope to post more.

Definitely post some more! That tiki seat is so fantastic my instinct is that a whole lot more good stuff lies within.
