I almost died when I found this. It’s one of my favorite vintage music things I own.
This came out around 1960 when Chubby Checker hit with The Twist. Which was right when I was starting to get obsessed with music, so anything from this period is extra special to me. It’s a really cheap elastic belt that you hoist around you and your partner so you don’t drift too far apart twisting. A piece of string would’ve accomplished the same thing. But I’m happy that someone got the idea to make this because I own it now.
I used to make out with Chubby’s daugher when we both were in our teens, working at a store in the mall called, “Cignal”, it was a clothing boutique. She was very fresh!
