This is the Panasonic 8-track player model no. RQ-823 also known as the “Pocketbook”. I like it because it’s compact, has good sound and changes programs automatically.

Wow, I’ve never even seen this one. Looks like it could be a fan or a toaster but, of course, its best incarnation is as it is, an 8-track player. And very nice that it’s displayed on top of an 8-track tape. I also really like that they didn’t limit the pattern to just the speaker area. This one’s a beauty.

My player is resting on a busted copy of “Frampton Comes Alive!”. About half the time when I find a stash of 8-tracks Peter Frampton’s among them.

Yeah, Frampton had that one big moment. That LP flooded the market and then that was it. Poof, his LP sales were gone.
