Musical “Happy Birthday” Kitsch Rotating Serving Stand

Remember blowing out your candles on one of these?  The wind up kind that slowly spins while playing “Happy Birthday!”  Featuring an off and on switch, so it doesn’t drive grown ups crazy!  I love this Hostess Heller Ware, simply for  “all the above” reasons and the fact it is so old school it doesn’t use batteries.

I used this during my teaching years for the one and only classroom student’s Birthday Party.  We celebrated everyone’s birthday all together, all at once, once a year, instead of one at a time or monthly.  Hence the high praise for the off and on switch!  Plus it was a good lesson in techless technology!  Some kids did wonder how it worked without batteries or plugging it in.

After my teacher years, I used it for friends and some how balanced their cake on this glass display stand on top of the rotating Hostess Heller Ware with sparkler candles!

It sometimes made a mess, but it was worth it!
