Stock your hi-fi with records and tumblers this afternoon…..entertain guests tonight.

I love this vintage stereo Hi-Fi as intensely as the day it was purchased back in the dark ages.  The swizzle sticks were lost long ago, but all 8 tumblers are still intact in their compartments above appropriate vinyl 45’s of the same era.

And this one still works.  Up top are “top-loading” doors: left end is the turntable, right end is the AM/FM stereo, middle top surface holds many photos, a lamp and a clock!  Check out the groovy sliding doors and speaker fabric.

Quite the piece! Especially like those cut out wood panels. Such a fancy living room piece for the time.

I love old hi fi’s. Never saw one with a little bar cavern before. Definitely one stop shopping.

Does it play 33 1/3 and 45? Probably no 78s as it was a modern machine.

    Any manufacturer’s mark anywhere?

Yes, it actually plays 78’s! That’s how old this piece is: about 42 years old. Good question about the manufacturer’s mark. I will have to investigate further.

And now I have an actual set of 78’s to play on it. Just scored a yard sale Glen Miller “album”: the old kind of album, like a book photo album, with 10″ records inside sleeve pages that turn!
