Always the perfect song to get completely obsessive about. Co-written by Berry Gordy Jr. incidentally. Eden’s voice is so overdramatic already and then throw that outfit into the mix and you’ve got fire.
Everything’s pretty perfect here. The male dancers, their outfits, ditto on the females x 10. Sets, staging, choreography, a 10+.

Wow whee, what an outfit, I wonder if it is a Bob Mackie? That dancer with the super-long hair is something else, too. When my hair was super-long, I couldn’t even walk without it looking like I got in a fight with a tree, let alone dance.

Wow, that ACTUALLY happened!!!! WOW. Of course, I love this and also think it looks like an act Mel Brooks woulda come up witht for The Producers…Love Power, anyone!?!?! I think she actually executes a few of Dick Shawn’s signature moves!

I know there were a few songs Gordy’s name was on that legend has it he didn’t really write. As my name has more than once been accompanied by the same kind of “co-writer” I can’t really vouch for how much he had to do with the real writing of the song. But his name is on the label so we’ll leave it at that!
