As I darted out of the grocery store line because I had forgotten paper napkins, what to my wondering ears should I hear, but  strains of “Bah-dee-yah, dancin in September…” and I could not help but think of our Ms. Allee! So since I was in the aisle with the “all items 99 cents section” I knew I had to snap a photo of some kitsch, in homage to this song that got my booty shaking at the supermarket. And the 99 cent section did not disappoint.

Now, keep in mind I took this photo just a few HOURS ago in 2012 and not a few DECADES ago in, oh 1987! I can’t remember the last time I saw someone wearing a pantsuit – with wide lapels and killer shoulder pads no less! Thanks for the inspiration and reminder that “Kitsch is where you find it”, Allee!
