I don’t know the exact year of these bags but I found these tucked inside one of the record holders from the Victrola I purchased.

Beautiful! Brunswick was a huge record label and had some local stores.
I used to always save the bags that my 45s came in. My local record shop was right next door to my high school. They were both named Mumford. The bags were the exact same color as the outside of the school, powder blue and maroon. I loved having matching school and record bags.

Thanks for sharing that, who would have thought that even a record bag could have such an impact on our young lives. I was lucky enough to be part of an era where record stores were still using fun bags to advertise their store and product.
Sometimes it’s quite amazing the memories that some kitsch can make feel like a kid again, even with record bags.
I feel bad now that I did not save these.

“sometimes it quite amazing the memories that some kitsch can bring back…..and how some kitsch can make us feel like a kid again…..”
I’m having a terrible day with typing errors, my apologies.

I don’t know the exact years but Mumford Music was definitely open in the late 50’s through the mid 60’s if not longer. On Wyoming between Thatcher and Curtis.
