My dinner with CHARO last night!

I’m sure any kitsch lover has a similar dream – having dinner with the kitschy kitschy koo Charo and bonding like you have been best friends for 30 years. Such was my evening last night at composer Pietor Angell’s pad. I’ll be posting a video of Charo doing the Neutron Dance as soon as aKitschionado Denny schools me on how to upload videos myself as I have been so codependent on my engineer for decades. But, trust me, it will be worth it once it’s up. I never knew that Charo did my “Neutron Dance” in her act and almost had a heart attack when she broke into dance last night after dessert. Here’s a photo of me, her, Thelma Houston and the boys to hold you over until the dance is served.

    For those of you who don’t know, Thelma Houston cut a song written by Allee titled: “Short Life”.

      Thelma and I have been friends for years. Introduced to each other by Bunny Hull, another great songwriter who wrote ‘New Attitude”, “Let Me be Your Angel” and a bunch more.

    I remember Charo on Merv Griffin in the late 60’s. She had to have been a teenager … wise and talented beyond her years. Nice to see Charo still has her “coochee”.
