I have to say this is a little too conservative for me, but I’m going to guess 1960’s.
How does a shade fit on this lamp?

This now sits in my flea market pile. I set up a table twice a year when the weather is nice….Hasn’t sold yet.

I bet it had some sort of tube-shaped shade that covered the bulb and fit into the slot at the bottom.
