So this is “where chicken was king” from 1929 to 1959. Not sure where the Smithville Inn was, but I’m sure they worked hard to keep their customers well fed judging from this plate design.
Before KFC was the Chicken King…

Totally wild about this plate. Especially love the portrait at the bottom of Paul and Sevilla. And love that it was made in 1959. Would travel anywhere for some of their chicken based on this plate.
Is this a dinner size plate? And is it from the same estate sale?
