Way too literal a visual for such a concept. The LAST thing a Hi-fi addict wanted to see around their equipment was bugs!!

This is a great record! As is any Pete Rugolo record, esp “Behind Brigitte Bardot” (which features Brigitte Bardot’s behind on the back cover!!), “Music From Out Of Space” and the “Richard Diamond” TV soundtrack. Pete was part of the great music team at Revue Studios/Universal, working alongside Henry Mancini, Johnny Williams and Esquivel! in the late 50’s – mid 60’s. He’s still alive and kicking at age 96!

Pete’s one of the greats! He’s essentially the architect of the ‘progressive jazz’ sound of the 50’s, when he worked as Stan Kenton’s #1 arranger. He was an originator of the “crime jazz” sound (along with Leigh Stevens, Elmer Bernstein and Alex North), which Mancini took to the highest heights with “Peter Gunn”. Buy Pete’s records when you find them!! Esquivel worshipped him.
