Here is a cool thrift store find, 4 fish ashtrays still in the box and wrapped in crumbling tissue paper. the little brass ciggarette holders still have lables that say “handcrafted ‘ . The label on the fish say : Lego, copyright 1960
Really incredible find, especially in view of the fact that you found the box, the graphics of which I love. And that all 4 of them are in excellent condition is fantastic.
I have a very similar ashtray except that it’a a clown face and not a fish, Made by Treasure Craft of Compton, CA. in 1957. Big mouthed things were all the rage in ceramics in the late 1950s and early 60s.
Did you get them for a steal?

$4 for the set…I stopped at this little thrift shop during my lunch break, saw them and for some reason decided to pass on them… Then I had second thoughts and for the rest of the day I was kicking myself….Right after work I went back and breathed a sigh of relief that they were still there.

I know that feeling of relief when something I regret having passed up is still there. Glad you got the fish!
