This is another piece from my Western restaurant china collection. It is a Westward Ho Little Buckaroo child’s plate. It was originally part of a three piece set which included a bowl and cup. Westward Ho china was designed by artist Til Goodan and manufactured by the Wallace China Company in Vernon, Ca between the years of 1931 and 1964. In recent years, a company by the name of True West (Royse City, TX) bought the rights to the Westward Ho series and they produce the same pieces (in a slightly different color), but this plate, like all of my collection, is vintage.

Another beautiful piece from your collection!
Do you have any other pieces specifically designed for a child?
And do you know if there were any other plates in the Little Buckaroo series with other cowboy slogans on them?

As mentioned, the plate is part of a set along with a bowl and cup which have different cowboy slogans on them. You can see the whole set here (keeping in mind that it is a new reproduction set made by True West, not the vintage Wallace like my plate)….
