I recently borrowed a cd from Allee called “Allee Willis’ Top 10” and this song is on it. I don’t remember this song but I sure do remember the other two EWF hits. Needless to say that after borrowing this cd this song has become a new favorite of mine. The version you see on this promo is the same version as the song on the “I AM” album. These 1 sided promos tend to be pretty popular among collectors of EWF’s catalog. Written with Maurice White and David Foster.

Allee Willis
If I’m talking to someone white I always mention “September” and “Boogie Wonderland”. But if I’m talking to someone black I always mention “In The Stone”, actually considered the hippest of the bunch. It’s also one of the biggest selling marching band arrangements of all time. If you go on YouTube you’ll see hundreds and hundreds of versions of it. “In The Stone” has also been in every single EWF concert since it was written. I’m glad you’re finally introduced to it!
