This a small 1929 book about a lecture given by a man named Chic Sales who modestly describes himself as “The Champion Privy Builder of Sangamon County”. The lecture talks about the best wood to use, best location for the outhouse (sort of a 1929 Feng Shui), plans for one and two holers, etc.

What exactly is a Champion Privy?
I can always use a good book on the best location for an outhouse.
Love that his name is Chic Sale, especially as nothing looks chic or for sale on that cover.

I looked Chic Sale up on a search engine and was surprised that he was a real person. He used the pseudonym Lem Putt when he gave programs for Rotary clubs. He also made 32 movies. ?|”The Specialist” was a million copy best seller translated into 9 languages in 15 countries. He wrote another book “I’ll Get By ” which was a best seller and both are still avalable.
