Roses on Parade Whiskey Bottle

I bought this on a trip through Kingman, Arizona recently even though I have absolutely no use for it.  I don’t even collect liquor containers (well, just a few) but this one was so lovely and quirky I had to have it.  It is SO reminiscent of many parades I’ve seen over the years.  The four blonde gals are just darling; the girl on the top is actually the cork stopper.  It has 3 big roses on it and is made out of porcelain, but has a flat finish.  This was made in 1973 as a limited edition by Lionstone Whiskey and contained 86 Proof straight bourbon.

Really love this! Love the colors and especially the shape. So bizarre for a whiskey bottle.

    Reminds me of your cakes.

    I love a good parade.

Yes, this is a very whimsical liquor container. And parades are good – especially if they are on your coffee table and you can enjoy them in the privacy of your own home. This is one of those items that just gives me pleasure whenever I look at it. You always have to wonder about the story behind the actual design and fabrication on this kind of thing. It would be interesting to know what the process was and who actually designed it.

Swoon, this is adorable, everything about it is scrumptious.I love that one of the girls is a cork stopper, never in a month of Sundays would I have thought this was anything to do with Whiskey.
