This little horsie planter is made out of a flat finish porcelain I think. I particularly like this style of baby planters as they are very simple and innocent looking, and the feel of the ceramic material is very smooth, but not glossy. All it needs is some ivy trailing out the carriage.

I love baby planters. Perfect colors- baby pink, blue and yellow. Though the lionshare of them have a gloss finish. I wonder why this one remained matte? Though it probably makes it even more innocent looking.
I always love eyelashes on a horse.

Ah, yes! Eyelashes on a horse! Especially very LONG eyelashes on a horse. The attention to detail is kind of intriguing on these. This one looks like the horse hair is made out of “yarn”. And the wheel is actually a tiny yellow flower with a pink flower rim. One side has a yellow bird and rattle; the other a teddy bear and rattle (but both the rattles are different designs).
This planter was actually made in Los Angeles I see now by looking on the bottom. It says: Velco 4746 Los Angeles. I also see now by looking more closely that he was chipped under a leg in one spot and someone glued it back. Sometimes it’s best not to look too close, but I still love him anyway.
