This GREAT Neon Sign is from the Ypsi-Arbor Lanes in Ypsilanti, Mi, where it has stood as a beloved Ypsi landmark since 1964.  The bowling alley owners have announced they will be closing May 1, 2011….sigh..
Soooo many are interested in the Neon Sign….and now coming out of left field comes even more interest in the sign from the “American Pickers” show on the History Channel??
The American Pickers are here!!!…filming from April 11-25…

Absolutely stunning neon sign!! Though it scares me that the American Pickers are there snapping it up. I’m not a big fan of people making old things sparkly new, which they do a lot of, and their prices are also really high. I would’ve love this sign to go to someone who was going to mount it on top of their house, not resell it. I enjoy watching that show a lot but I have to shut my eyes sometimes when I see the new paint jobs they slap on things. This sign looks like it’s in such great shape that hopefully the only thing their hands will be on is the cash they get when some lucky person buys it from them.

That’s for sure! But not with American Pickers getting there first. The price will be blasphemous and the sign will be too sparkly new.
