I am absolutely on the hunt for one of these hairdryers! What is scary is that I would probably use it. I hope I am getting this right here but the atomic “rocket like” design here is incredible. If I find out that Allee owns one of these I think I’ll spit tacks! I have seen these before at various flea markets but never took the time to inspect them! This is a post card I retrieved from a “bad post card” blog site. Bad? I don’t think so, this is tremendous!

My favorite thing about this is that it’s a postcard. I love the angle everything is blowing at.
I don’t have this exact hairdryer but used to have something very similar in chrome. I used it for a prop on MTV’s “Just Say Julie” in the early 90s. You can see some photos of it if you go to https://www.alleewillis.com/art/sets-props/index.htm and click on “Just Say Julie”. It’s in a lot of the shots on that page but the clearest one is probably shot number eight, where it’s balanced on the top left corner of the “kitchen unit”. You can also see it in shots three and six against the wall. I disassembled the contraption once the show was over but I’m sure that the hairdryer is still in my storage garage someplace.

Wind Up – spent some time today walking around the city. As it turns out, our hotel is behind Allee’s!
Walking to the Fox Theater is a breeze from here. I was absolutely speechless just taking pics of the exterior of this magnificent, old movie house. I’ll have pics for years after this trip!
