The Brown Beetles
I really wish that I could share a little bit of info about them, but so far the only thing I know for a fact is that they were signed to Capitol Records in the early 60’s. I do believe by the looks of their wigs they must have barrowed them from their moms, sisters or their girlfriends for this photo shoot.

YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH THIS ONE!!
Please don’t tell me The Brown Beetles was really their name.
And, without question, mom’s wigs. The one on the right, the B Beetles right, is taking my breath away. The little bouffant in front is perfection as well.

Allee, I happened to find another picture of the Brown Beetles at this link. Their hair is different.

If you post an audio or video of them, Allee will have to create a Super-certifikitsch. I don’t have words for the wigs… I would even wear one like that. Superb kitsch, Facebeater !

They look like brothers to me.

As we use to yell back in the day when we saw somebody walking down the street that was wearing a very obvious wig, “YO WIG.”
I do have another photo of them that I will share at a later date, but not near as great as this one.
YO WIG…

Oh hell no! This post just really made my morning and goes well with my morning coffee.
I think “YO WIG” should go on t-shirts.
How is the sound here?

This is awesome! I thought they were the Marvelettes at first glance.
