I don’t know who LL was but she sure had the Elvis waterfall thing going on with that curl dribbling down her forehead. Do you imagine that the designs on her dress are sewn into the fabric or are they feathers?

She’s wearing one of her “speak easy” outfits! Actually, I came across Lola Lane YEARS ago when I got into old films. I was introduced to her via a film called “Marked Woman”. It was a Bette Davis vehicle and Lola Lane was one of the “clip joint” gals and co-star. I actually think the bumper bang looks more like a poodle tail.

    Here’s some info on Lola:

I didn´t know where she was either, but your paintings turn better and better, Denny. I´m a fan of yours :*)

Thanks BeeJay! I don’t know if you are aware of this but I only took up painting a year ago. I sooooo enjoy it!

Beejay – I love films from the 30’s and 40’s, love film noir and love old gangster films. Lola Lane appeared in many of them. I believe she started out in vaudeville and was eventually married (for 10 minutes) to Humphrey Bogart.
