Miniature Street Art across the pond.

I saw a news clip about Banksy today, the graffiti artist that everyone is crazy about in L.A.  I love street art.  But what about miniature street art?  I love that too.  A couple of artists in London create their miniature street art, photograph it, then leave it to the elements.  I love this piece,  by Slinkachu, entitled “Fantastic Voyage.”

Now a wider shot.

Just one more, and I have to say I like this one even more, by the same artist.

Love these!! And I love them way more than Banksy because of the original palette. Way more impressive than using billboards and sides of buildings.

    KFC one is brilliant.

And we could all do it if we had little people. And those peeps are teeny tiny!

They said many times the artists use found objects, like a disgarded box of take out chicken for a setting.

I’m completely in love with these, not to mention the art form..I’m a big fan of street art but more so a fan of using found objects/what ya have around to create things…..LOVE that these are scenes/dioramas…..making little set ups like this is one of my favorite things to do, but my dioramas always start to get out of control….the more I work on one, the more it becomes it’s own monster…I don’t do small things very well…..:) thanks for posting this…I had never seen anything like it before!!!!!!

In the UK you can get a whole selection of greeting cards with these miniature people on them. My favourite was the one with two men living in a Battenberg Cake .I will try to find a picture.

oooh! you’d like them; they are sponge cakes and they’re checkered in the center…kinda cool…haven’t seen one in a long time!

forgot to mention another reason why you’d like them…they’re usually pink and yellow! but not as good as fluff’s xmas cakes; they don’t have booze, i don’t think!
