Cowboy Adventures To Color

I love vintage unused coloring books. This is a  Gene Autry ” Cowboy Adventures To Color” coloring book published in 1941. The book is divided into five sets of stories about life on Gene’s Melody Ranch including a story about capturing and taming a wild horse and another story about a cattle thief. In the first story, two little girls are frightened by menacing Indians while traveling by stagecoach to visit the ranch, but it all turns out to be a joke as the “painted redskins” are actually Gene’s friends pretending to be hostile. Ha. Ha.

Beautiful! I’ve seen a lot of Gene Autry memorabilia and own much of it, but have never seen this. Such unbelievable condition. Love the unusual shape for a coloring book too.
