Bard n’ Booze

I love it when high-brow meets low-brow, as in these Shakespeare cocktail napkins from the early 60’s.

Each napkin takes a quote from one of Shakespeare’s plays and puts it in a modern context, illustrated with a corny cartoon.

   I have many sets of these cocktail napkins with similarly great graphics and text but have never seen these Shakespearean ones. These are excellent! Contemporary pop-culture freak that I am I don’t actually think I ever got through a whole book by Shakespeare. This might be my speed learning course…
