Rusty Warren was the quintessential white bad girl comic in the 1950s. All of her LPs were very popular. Most of them have incredible artwork on them and the colors are always great. Despite owning all of her LPs I’ve never actually heard them as I never had patience for comedians on record.

I love that Rusty is still with us and enjoying her hopefully still sin-sational years in Hawaii.

Years ago I first heard her song “Bounce Your Boobies” on the old Dr. Demento radio show. I’ve been a fan ever since.

Oh geez, then I need to get my butt in gear and give these albums a spin. That is the greatest title ever! I need to go back and really examine those song titles.

As Allee said above, I’ve tried to listen to other comedy albums and I just wasn’t feeling the groove. Now if I could have seen her live back in the day I’m sure I would have been in heaven.

Denny, unfortunately I can’t vouch for all of her recordings. But I think I can give you an idea of the kind of performer she it. If she were working in burlesque, she’d probably be the verbally risque opening act, and could definitely hold her own. No shrinking violet, she. This lady is one tough cookie, and was liberated even before Women’s Lib!
