I love topiary, especially when it gets as obscure as this. If you pass by this place again try and get other angles. I wonder if it’s rounded at the head or they got lazy and it’s just squared off? Any indentations or bulgesfor the eyes?

wow, this is too cool..confession: I had to read your title to know what it was…….when looking at the pic, i thought it was a slug, the high point of the whale tale being the eyes towering over the sidewalk with their enigmatic and wise stare……it made sense when allee asked about whether or not there were bulges for the eyes, right???

Yep! We are treated to the back end of a whale. I didn’t have the spunk that day to sneak up the sidewalk.
