Great lines and colors on this portable modern vacuum cleaner from the early 1950’s. I think this was more about design than function. Not sure it could handle a big job. Part of the retro kitchen Exhibit at the MOMA in NYC.
That’s such a sleek design, even for 50s vacuum cleaners all of which were pretty sleek. It’s hard to tell true colors but is the hose as well as the belt that goes around the red body orange?
What’s the green thing that’s hanging between the hose and the bucket?
Beautiful vacuum arrangement!

Great post, love the design.

The vacuum is a molded bright red and a lighter orange was textured like the hose, I think. What we all take for granted, a plastic bucket was new back then. An oval sponge is suspended on a clear line, complementing the display.
