This is an entry in our local Carnival. There is an elderly lady who enters each year and dresses up her mobility car and enters the Carnival in it and drives down the parade and then back up in it – this year it was a Wigwam!

Fantastic!! Now that’s the spirit! I’ve never understood elderly folks who still had their wits about them who were afraid to get a motorized chair or mobility vehicle because it would confirm the fact that they’re old. This lady completely has the right idea. Deal with it and do it up in style. I would give her an award every year.
Have you ever seen her house? I can’t even imagine the decorating that goes on inside.

This in Tisbury, UK. It’s the same Carnival as mentioned in my Jungle Time post. I couldn’t agree with you more. She does it every year and it is always something different – I hope that I have that spirit when I am her age!
I haven’t see her house, although I do have a great image of what it would look like…

I have just been speaking to the family talking about this lady and I have found out a bit more information. Her name is Violet and she is in her 90’s. Other things she has entered the Carnival as include a Womble and a Spaceship!
