A favorite role model (What’s the world coming to?) for my kids.. hate to say it but even now ..when you’d think “grown up” might describe their taste..Homer still rules supreme.. But who can argue.. Homer has more to his little ol’ heart than many adults I know.

The Simpsons rang true because they express what real people think. The animated series that really kills me though is King of the Hill. I will stop whatever I’m doing to watch that. I know people feel the same way about the Simpsons but it’s all Arlan, Texas and propane for me!
I went to a little bake sale the little girls next door were having a few months ago and there buying a brownie in front of me was Dan C., Homer.

Bart rocked my world when this show came out! My true favorite from this animated series was Lisa Simpson. I swear, that character is so me!

I feel compelled to note that the little guy pictured above isn’t Homer Simpson, it’s Bart.

Oops!! Can I change that?? Bart was my son’s idol but I tend to think “Homer” when I think of the Simpsons..

No, I say leave it. It makes it more kitschy!! I always like leaving things as they lay. Excellent conversation starters!

If it adds anything.. I think the sign says. “Welcome Home Dude” …(one of several moving back home periods)
