This is one of my favorite home office chotchkes– a small metal girl-with-umbrella bookend. I found her at a garage sale, but have absolutely no idea who she is, or where she came from (is she a cartoon character? A company mascot?) I love her sixties look and design, her color palette (turquoise and yellow), and the fact that the whites of her eyes are cut out. She’s only about 5″ tall, so she’s not much of a bookend, but I use her to hold CD jewel cases which she does quite well.
