Tom N’ Jerry Radio

I was never a fan of Tom N’ Jerry (preferring Itchy and Scratchy), but this vintage plastic Marx radio (from 1972) is pretty fun. The controls for volume and stations are right behind the rodent’s ear and butt.

   I love this period for transistor radios in general. I also love powder blue plastic.

   I don’t remember Itchy and scratchy. Were they on tv?

   Actually, Itchy and Scratchy aren’t actually real in the way Tom N’ Jerry are– they’re a hyper-violent parody of Tom N’ Jerry and their ilk, on The Simpsons.
