For those of us who found traveling/packing a hoop skirt a chore???… now the “Hoop-La”….smile
Took a photo of this at the Allegan Michigan Antique Market this weekend… The complete package is about the size of a LP…which is what I thought it was when I first spotted it…

This is KILLING ME. I was obsessed with hoop skirts when I was young. I never really mastered sitting down in one of these as if you don’t do it exactly right you expose the crown jewels. But I always had fun rolling over the hoop attempting to get it to be in repose in a very lady-like fashion.
To find one complete in the package is fantastic. BEAUTIFUL packaging.

Oh yay! I have one of these! Mine is in a pink box but is otherwise identical.

I thought this was the best piece… where did you find yours??.. This one was in Allegan Mi..(I don’t know where the dealer was from??).. which is about 3hrs southwest of Detroit..

Hey K2 – This is brilliant! I’m from Philly originally and down near the water front (in Center City) there was a hoop skirt factory that sat abandoned for years. The building is now condos. I always wanted a condo in this building just because of what was manufactured there at one time. See the link:

Thank you Denny…. “Hoop Skirt Factory Lofts”…it’s beautiful.. I’m dying…I love this so much…
The people at HGTV should do a show on the before/after of the building..talk about “If Walls Could Talk”..now were talkin’…smile Probably so many buildings with that kind of wonderful charm and history all over the country…hope they are all being saved as beautifully as the “Hoop Skirt Factory”….Thanks again..
