The sign for the “Club 404 Lounge” on South Broadway in Denver says it all with the font and the martini.
And the fact that it’s next door to a thrift shop makes it more appealing to many, I imagine.
But it’s not just any thrift shop.
It’s “Safari Seconds.”

Beautiful! Do you know what year it was built?
Do the bubbles in the glass light up in cycles so it looks like they’re bubbling?
And excellent, of course, that the thrift shop ties into my upcoming Pomplamoose project, “Jungle Animal”. I just got back from working with them on the two VideoSongs that will come out right after that, “R U Thinking” and “Shababy”. I could use a drink from the 404 right about now.

Love it. Vintage signage, drinking martinis and finding treasures at a safari seconds store. What kinds of things fall into that category – stuff that wasn’t first rate- that couldn’t stand up to the tough safari standards???

Bubbling neon would be so cool…Love the sign…
Checking out the guy walking into the Club 404 Lounge… I’m guessing he’s going to have a cool refreshment before going into Safari Seconds.. He’ll probably be a much better shopper, and will do his best to fill that backpack…smile.

If the bubbles ever did light up in sequence, they don’t anymore.
This building could be 85-100 years old in this part of Denver.
The current owners, the Feld family, have owned it for 60 years.
