    Only the greatest car design that ever existed! I have a 1955 Stude, also designed by Raymond Lowey as this bullet nose was, but mine is one of those with the wide fish mouth grills. I also own a couple of bullet noses themselves, just the chrome pieces. I’ve always thought about mounting them on one of my other cars but none of those hoods curve in a way such as to make a comfortable fit.

    I love the green Stude in the photo but they never came in anywhere near this color, did they? Also, weren’t Stude convertibles pretty rare?

    Pretty rare would be right, about 12,000 manufactured in ’50, and about 8,400 in ’51 with the bullet nose for drop top bodies.
