This giant flea got me pretty excited about this flea market in Charleston, WV! Unfortunately, the flea market turned out to be mediocre at best, with too many bags of tube socks and budget-rate fireworks, and too few awesome kitschy vintage things. Of course it was like 100 degrees and I was dying of heat exhaustion, so maybe I just wasn’t looking hard enough.
The flea himself though was definitely worthy of a picture.

The flea himself is so promising so what a drag that it was a mediocre tube sock filled flea market. I hate when that happens. You can kind of feel it as soon as you walk in and certainly by the time that you’re at the end of the firs row. I sometimes make myself trudge through after that as you never know what one little treasure may be buried within but once it’s 100 degrees out I’d rather be anywhere than a bad flea market. Love the sign though.

Yeah, I think I spent about 80 cents, total, kind of a bummer. One of those places where everything good you find is 200% overpriced and everything else is junk… the hot weather definitely did not help.

Thanks!

I love his antennae flopping out of his hobo hat, and that cute little muzzle they gave him so you can always pretend he’s a rabbit if he’s a little too terrifying.
