Three Little Pigs

This three little pigs planter was made by McCoy pottery (circa 1940’s – 1950’s). From the front we see the hungry little pigs looking into some sort of trough or corn bin, but the truly cute part is the back of the planter where we see the rumps and curly tails of the little fellows. Not in the best shape (one of the little pigs has a chipped ear), but I dearly love this planter.

Fantastic and adorable planter, the view from the back especially. One little piggy suffers from botched glaze in the rear ‚Äúpiggy hole” but that makes this even more lovable. I adore how they’re just peering over in the front.

This is so great! I especially love the woodgrain texture on the front.

Cute! McCoy made some great stuff. It’s semi-local to my area and is pretty collectible around here.
