Okay, I have been having a heck of a time trying to post a profile photo. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. First it says my pic is too large, then because it’s a JPEG. I ain’t so smart when it comes to these computer things!
Anyhoo, here’s a pic of me in front of my house in 1956 when I was three years old and living in Norwalk, CA. Believe it or not, I remember it like it was yesterday. A nice man with a pony came walking down our street offering photo opportunities for all of the neighborhood children to pose on the pony for the price of $2.50. He even supplied the cowboy outfit for us to wear (although I am wearing my own Howdy Doody style cowboy shirt). As you can see, the pony was gorgeous. I remember being thrilled getting to ride on him, if only for a brief moment.

I love this photo. It drips with how excited you were. I would’ve died if anyone walked down the street in Detroit offering photos on a pony when I was growing up.
This looks like a miniature horse. Was it or was it a pony?
I wish you still had your cowboy outfit.
